PARENT OBSERVATION TIMES
We love for parents to be involved in their students progress and in studio activities, but due to a concerted effort to keep dancers focused and on task during class, we ask that parents only watch dancers during designated times. That time is the last week of each month during the last 10-20 minutes. Please remember to wait in the soda shop until the teacher comes to get you. We just want to remind parents that young students get easily distracted when they are excited to show off skills to their visitors. Others may become very shy. Classes can become unusually chaotic. We have found through years of experience that classes run differently when spectators are there. Please try to keep that in mind as you watch your student during these times.
DROP OFF/PICK UP
DROP OFF
As it does get hectic when parents are dropping off and picking up we ask you that if you are dropping off (and not getting out of your car) that you please pull from 89 to the south side of the building (your car will be facing the back of the building) right next to soda shop drive thru and drop your student off quickly. This will NOT be a parking place. Then drive towards the back of parking lot and either exit on the road to the East or circle around to exit back to Highway 89.
- STUDENTS ARE TO WAIT IN THE SODA SHOP FOR THEIR TEACHER TO GET THEM, SO THEY DO NOT DISTURB THE CLASS BEFORE THEM.
- PARENTS NEED TO WAIT IN THE SODA SHOP AS WELL.
* No parents past the soda shop area unless it is parent watch week or they have been given approval by the receptionist to walk their student to class.
PICK UP
- Find a parking spot that is NOT in the drop off area and wait in your car for your student.
- Find a parking spot that is NOT in the drop off area and walk into the soda shop and wait for your student to be brought by their teacher.
Please use caution and kindness while driving in the parking lot and students will be walking to and from cars. Drive slow!
DANCE CLOTHES
Students should wear activewear or stretchy clothes that they can move easily in. Please no big baggy sweatshirts or pants unless it is in hip hop class. Ballet students have a dress code: black or dark leotard, pink ballet tights, and ballet shoes. Those items need to be ordered from our reception desk. In every class students need to have their hair slicked back out of their face. Black or dark clothing is suggested, but not required for Competition Teams.

COMPETITION TEAM ATTENDANCE POLICY
Competition students are expected to be to all classes, trainings, workshops, etc especially during competition season (Jan-May). During competition season students are only allowed to miss due to sickness, pre-approved family trips, and school activities. Injured students need to still attend class and do what they can or just observe. Absences need to be excused by emailing the studio as soon as a parent knows that the student will be absent. (Family trips need to be emailed before competition season starts). If your student misses the week of a competition or performance then they WILL NOT be allowed to compete/perform. If students have unexcused absences other times during comp season it is up to the teacher if a student will be allowed to perform/compete.
***SODA SHOP ACCOUNTS***
All students have access to charge items to their dance account unless a parent emails the studio to block access. Please have a conversation with your child to discuss if they are able to charge to their account or not. If they are not allowed and you would like the account blocked please email the studio.
